Description

The Megger S1 Series insulation resistance testers are available in three models, the 5kV (S1-568/2), 10kV (S1-1068/2), and 15kV (S1-1568/2). Resistance measurement accuracy varies by model and test voltage, with ±5 % accuracy up to 1 to 3TΩ, and ±20 % accuracy at higher resistances of 10 to 30TΩ. Standard features include RE>Act mode, which improves reliability by monitoring reabsorption currents and discharge, and the PI Predictor function for faster assessment of insulation performance. A dual-layer case provides durability and protection, with color display and rotary controls.

Each model can operate from battery or AC mains supply, with charging and extended runtime to support continuous testing. The S1 series range expands functionality with diagnostic test options such as IR, DAR, PI, DD, PDC, ramp, and stepped voltage tests. Results are stored with time stamps, and Bluetooth or USB interfaces allow transfer to Megger’s CertSuite Asset or PowerDB software for reporting information.

Built for safety and accuracy, the S1 Series is rated to CAT IV 1000V and includes reinforced leads with fixed clips and multiple voltage warning systems. Combined with adaptive filtering and high noise immunity, these testers deliver consistent, dependable results even in electrically noisy environments.
