Description
The Optris CTi 3M infrared thermometer is designed for precise, non-contact temperature measurement of metals, secondary metal processing, metal oxides, and ceramic materials. It operates across a wide range of 86°F to 3362°F with a 2.3µm spectral range. The device provides response and exposure times as low as 110µs, making it suitable for fast industrial processes requiring accurate temperature control. The CTi 3M offers multiple optical resolutions from 12:1 to 75:1, allowing flexibility for various distances. Measurement uncertainty is typically ±2.7°F or ±0.3% of reading, depending on the model. Adjustable emissivity and transmissivity settings (0.05 to 1.10) ensure accurate readings across different materials. The unit maintains performance in environments up to 185°F without additional cooling, with an IP65 (NEMA 4) environmental rating for dust and water resistance.
Electrical options include analog outputs (0/4 to 20mA, 0 to 5/10V, thermocouple K) and multiple digital interfaces such as USB, RS232, RS485, Modbus, Profinet, and EtherNet/IP. Power is supplied by 8 to 36VDC, and configuration is supported through CompactPlus Connect software or the IRmobile App.
