Description

The Megger MIT1015 insulation resistance tester is designed for reliable measurement of high-voltage electrical assets. It provides an insulation resistance measurement range from 10 kΩ to 20TΩ at 10kV. Accuracy is ±5% up to 2TΩ and ±20% up to 20TΩ. Test voltages are selectable at 500V, 1000V, 2500V, 5000V, and 10,000V, with user-defined voltages from 40V to 1kV in 10V steps. A maximum test current of 3mA and noise rejection up to 3mA ensure stable measurements even in electrically noisy environments.

Performance is enhanced by diagnostic test modes including IR, IR(t), PI, and DAR, along with patented PI predictor(PIp). The RE>Act mode improves accuracy by detecting and compensating for dielectric reabsorption currents, ensuring valid results and preventing false pass or fail readings. A rugged dual-case design and a CAT IV 600V safety rating up to 3000m altitude, and multiple voltage warning levels ensure operator safety in the field. Power is supplied by a fast-charge Li-ion battery that provides 4.5 hours of continuous operation at 10kV, with the option to run directly from AC mains when needed.
