Description

The Megger MIT525/2 insulation resistance tester provides accurate insulation resistance measurements for electrical systems. It measures resistance from 10kΩ up to 15TΩ. The MIT525/2 includes ±5% up to 1TΩ, and extended range up to 15 TΩ with reduced accuracy (±20% up to 10 TΩ). It features RE>ACT mode, which helps reduce errors caused by absorption currents, and the PI predictor function to speed up Polarization Index testing without sacrificing accuracy.

The device supports various test modes such as insulation resistance(IR), Polarization Index(PI), Dielectric Absorption Ratio(DAR), Dielectric Discharge(DD), Polarization Depolarization Current(PDC), and ramp testing, providing detailed information about insulation conditions. It has noise rejection up to 6mA, making it suitable for use in environments with electrical interference. Measurement results appear on a color display and can be saved with time and date stamps. Data can be transferred via USB or Bluetooth to software like CertSuite Asset.

The MIT525/2 runs on a battery, offering about 6 hours of continuous use at 5kV with a 100MΩ load. It can also be powered from AC mains and features auto power off to save battery life. The device has a rugged dual-case design with an IP65 rating when closed and meets CAT IV 600V safety standards for use up to 3000m altitude. It comes with a 3 meter medium clip insulated test lead set compliant with IEC safety standards, suitable for various insulation testing tasks.
